( Avoid The Nightmares )
Although this section is here as a guideline for you, we do
advise that you read it before booking a DJ / disco.

easier for you to book the right DJ / disco.
Holding an event can be very expensive, especially a wedding and the last thing you
want is it to be ruined by a bad DJ / disco. Disco prices can vary immensely,
anything from £80 to over £400. Shop around, but cheap does not always mean
good, as they say you get what you pay for. Bare in mind many cheap Djs are out
of work, good Djs are always busy though recommendations.
The following information is a good way to approach booking for a DJ/disco.
So what do you look for in booking a DJ?
First you must ascertain what you need the DJ to do and the
audience they are playing to. For example if it's a wedding you need the DJ to
have a vast selection of music from the 50's to modern, this means that all the
guests on the night will be catered for.
Ask the questions
Does the DJ play the type of music that you require?
Ask for some examples that they would play? Sound & light equipment is very
important when booking a disco. Have you ever been to a function where the
music hurts your ears?
Lighting can play a very important part is creating a good
atmosphere, so a good light show is essential.
Booking the DJ
Once you have found the DJ you want, you now book them. Although most DJ's are
honest, there are some rotten apples out there, so we always send out a
booking contract. The contract covers things like dates, times, payment terms,
etc. This is there for yours and the DJ peace of mind so you know that your DJ
is going to turn up on the day and the DJ knows they are going to work. You
hear of horror stories of DJ's letting down clients for weddings and other
such big events days before there are due to go ahead. So when booking make
sure you get something in writing, outlining all the dates, time, cancellation
etc, read all terms, make sure the information on the contract is correct
before you sign it.
Following the above should make booking a DJ a little easier for you, but
please remember this is just a guideline.
